Brass 3/8" Thermal Valve

The CAT Pumps 7141 Thermal Valve is designed to eliminate heat build-up in closed loop pumping systems. The valve is mounted in the bypass line of the pressure regulating device when the by-pass liquid is being recirculated to the inlet of the pump. This is a cost-effective way to protect pumps from excessive heat. Thermal valves function similarly to pop-off valves but are activated by heat instead of pressure to keep temperature. Repeated or extended use of the bypass cycle causes the system liquid to heat up significantly as it circulates. Excessive temperatures from this process can lead to premature damage of the cups and seals.
